Summer Fundraising
We are starting two new programs:

Cell phone and inkjet cartriges. If you have old cell phones or inktjet cartridges, please mail them to us or contact us at info@mintformounts.org.  We are in the process of setting up some drop off locations and will post the addresses as soon as they are up and running.

Wine! Yes, buy some delicious wine and help horses in the process. You can order online at www.benefitwines.com/mounts or send us an email at info@mintformounts.org and we will send you the order form.



Thanks for helping during our Spring Fundraiser. You helped horses by getting some flower bulbs or vegetable plants.  We will do this again soon, stay tuned!

Retirement Fund: we are starting a working horse retirement fund to provide for the comfortable retirement of police and other working horses. Our first horse is a retired police horse, read more about him on the Projects page.  Any donation towards this fund is appreciated!
Here are some of the costs associated with the care of this retired horse:
Hay, grain, supplements, shavings: $250/month
Shoeing: $250 per shoeing (about every 6 weeks) ....he is a draft!
Shots, Coggins & worming: $320/year


Our first campaign was to collect sufficient funds to provide care and maintenance of the Boston Police Mounted Unit horses for at least one year.  The unit was disbanded, but when sufficient funds are available, the Boston Police Department has stated that they will bring them back.  We are accepting pledges towards bringing the unit back. 

Any corporation or individual who would like to make a pledge towards the Boston Police Mounted Unit, can do so by mailing a pledge card to the address listed below with the following information: Name,  Company Name,  Address,  Telephone number,  and the amount of the pledge.

Any amount great or small is appreciated or you can buy:
    one mint for $100
    two mints for $200
    a half a bag of mints for $500
    a bag of mints for $1,000

You can sponsor:
    one horse for a month for $1,125
    one horse for a year for $12,500
